Tribasic lead sulfate

Molecular formula: 3PbO'PbSO₄'H₂O

Properties: White powder, toxic, insoluble in water, organic solvent and oils. Soluble in alkali and ammonium acetate solution. Non-inflammable, non-corrosive, deliquescent. It is decomposed and changed in color under moist conditions and sunlight.

Usage: The product is the most widely used thermal stabilizer for PVC plastics with strong ability of cohesion with hydrogen chloride, good long-term thermal stability, excellent electrical insulation. It has the ability of white pigment with strong covering power, tolerate weather-resistant property and mainly used in non-transparent soft and hard products and cable material. Coordination effects can be obtained when used with a little amount of lead di-basic phosphite or lead di-basic stearate.
